Description

Nolie Polie got me these super awesome turquoise nugget beads as a bribe to get me to stop singing the Rolie Polie Olie song since threatening my life and such did not work. >_>

Anyway, I originally had this super intricate plan for these that involved about a million yards of wire and crystal beads, some wood, hematite, and whatever else I could get my paws on.... ._. It would've taken forever. So when these got here, I decided I needed to keep them because they're amazing and soooo pretty in person, but I don't wear intricate things. Not like what I was planning for these anyway. XD So Minion and I set to work and ended up with this very simple string which I kind of really adore. Simplicity pwns. <3

These beads remind me of dragon scales (full view if you don't see -- the black webbed in with the blue-green is amazing D: ) so Minion came up with the title for this set.

One necklace and a double-wrap bracelet = exactly 210 seed beads (not counting the ones we accidentally dumped down Nolie's shirt... XD), 28 natural turquoise nuggets, wire, two C-spring clasps and 4 tube beads. ._. Yes, I counted EVERYTHING.

Design (c) to Minion, since he did most of the work, I just put it together once he was done brainstorming.

I love the simplicity. I think if you would have made it as intricate as you had originally planned those fabulous turquoise nuggets would have gotten lost in it all. Keeping it simple keeps the focus on them and the use of black helps their detail pop out. :)
